Andre was born in Chicago, Illinois and has attended public schools in St. Louis,

Nashville, Seatle, Raleigh/Durham and Austin, Texas. His mother is original from

Mexico and has her master’s degree from University of Chihuahua, Mexico, and his father is originally from St. Louis and has his MBA from Saint Louis University. He has one sibling, a younger brother named Luciano who is also a golfer and is one year younger. Andre is a self-described grinder who puts the extra work in at school and on the golf course. Andre attributes his success to his faith in God, parents, all the coaches he has had in every sport, and his teachers and friends who have inspired him to grow and be the best Andre Follmer that he can be. He is honored and thankful to receive the George Hannon Scholarship.
